IH 1000 Loader Tines

I finally have my Model 1000 loader on the tractor and operating smoothly. Now the next problem.

The tines on the bucket are bending. I am not sure if they are original equipment or were put on by the fellow I bought the unit from. I'm thinking they should be hardened steel tines if they are going to hold up over the long haul.

Do any of you guys that have this loader know what the tine material is? Is it a higher grade steel than regular plate? Are they available in the market or do they have to be custom made by a fabricating shop?

Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Doug, I don't believe 1000 loader had tines. Mine just has straight blade on bucket. Most likely they where added home made. oldiron29

I believe he is refering to the tines on the manure bucket. Unfortunately, I can't answer the original question. I wouldn't be surprised to find they were originally made of a high-grade material of some type.

The 1000 loader could be purchased with 3 different buckets: 30 in manure bucket with 4 tines, a 36 or 42 inch material bucket or a 48 inch snow bucket. The manure bucket could be ordered with a tine cover, making it into a material bucket.
I got both the operators and parts manual reprints from Binder Books.
My 1000 is mounted to a Farmall 130. It has the snow bucket.
