Reading through my original 1943 H owner's manual, I came across a paragraph in the section dealing with adjusting the brakes that makes reference to a "lift all" jack. It says:

"A "lift-all" jack is available for use with hydraulic "lift-all" attachments offered as special equipment for your Farmal H tractor. This jack is extremely useful whenever it is necessary to lift the tractor to change wheels or tires, or for any other purpose. Ask your Internatinoal Harvester delaer for information."

Does anyone have one of those or photos of one? It sounds like a neat accessory to have at a show.

I've never seen, or heard of such a thing, but I'm going to dig out some of my manuals and do a little research.

(quoted from post at 06:53:54 10/21/11) I cant imagine that a 'bellypump'has enough poop to lift a tractor.Neat accessory to see.

A belly pump has plenty of power to lift a tractor.

Much more than pump pressure is leverage and cylender size. As stated it may take some time but you really don't need much pressure.

Interesting way to change/sharpen blades but not sure I'd get under it till it was blocked up.

That photo was taken BEFORE placing 2 jackstands under the loader bucket, and BEFORE securing the trip mechanism so the bucket could not dump.

Dont anyone throw rocks at me,I am kinda off subject here.

I know Ford made a FULL chassis jack that would raise the entire tractor off of the ground using the 3 point hitch!(9n,8N,2N,) It was used for setting the front and rear tire/axles for the correct row spacing for your crop.

It looks ALOT like a current Pit jack they use in pro stock drag racing! I will post a photo,if I can find it.

You could lift the tractor with your breath if you had a big enough airbag.

Some people around here have enough hot air to lift a tractor unassisted, though!

Forget not wanting to get under it until it's blocked up - I'd be worried about standing NEAR that one!

I've got one of those jacks for an 8n.. and it is pretty cool... but w/o a 3pt, I wonder how it was accomplished on the H.

Rusty, what size tires are you using for the 6.00-16s? I am looking to spend $0 on tires for my plow.

I forget the exact size. I think something like 215-85-R16? They are from my 1 ton dually. I had to "squeeze" them a bit to get them on the rims. I've been running them for 3 years now with no issues.

I have used those Ford jacks for years, have I think 3 at present and the hydrolick is all that is supposed to hold them up but we all know the systems sag so in lue of that and for an easier way to adjust the height I just ysed an old car bumper jack under the cross bar that the lift arms pin to and that will raise the whole tractor with ease and you have no wories about it saging down and with the hydrolick system it is hard to get an exact height and you have to be on the tractor to operate the clutch but with the way I do it easy and you are not cralling on the tractor with the wheels off to change the height as you may just need a 1/4" different in height to get that wheel back on and with the engine that is the hard part.
