Does anyone know if the Thompson and Cessna hydraulic pumps are interchangeable on a 1962 Farmall 460? Thanks

Yes, 460/560 & 706 thru 1586 with gear system all interchange, cant pin them down by part-number, it would take a lot of pages, 12GPM is most common, also 15GPM & 17GPM will fit, these would take more HP, they figure about 1 HP per gallon. Also 656/666/686 would fit, also 986/1586 certain serial numbers had a PFC hyd system, not usuable.

PSI x gpm divided by 1714 will give you the HP required for the pump. An increase from 12 to 17gpm would then be about 5.8HP for a 2000 psi system... not sure what the 460 runs for pressure but probably close to that.
