What needs to be done 806 DT-361 to be able to swap in a 1206 DT-361.I know the 1206 DT-361 is setup to be able to handle the turbo? Is it just a sleeves, pistons, swap ? Or bolt in a 1206 DT-361? Thanks for any help Theron

The engine in the 806 you are calling it a DT 361?DT stands for diesel turbo and just D is none turbo diesel. What I know is the 1206 motor over the 806 had extra piston coolers, larger engine oil cooler, larger cooling fan a 370 head on the pump and a tade less compression ratio and of course the turbo manifold and turbo.I know many 806 had turbos added just the way they were.

Externally the D361 and DT361 are identical except for the manifolds. You do not have to do ANYTHING to the DT361 engine to bolt it into an 806.

Why not just add a hair dryer to the D 361 and set it for 115 H/P and forget about it . Now if ya are thinking about getting MORE that is up to you . If you need more pony's then get a 1066 or a 1466 . I find that on my 806 set at 110 with out a hair dryer is enough . If we need more then the 1066 comes out of the shed . And wright now if i had the spare green backs i would have more then enough pony power with a bend in the middle one .
