I bought this H for my new husband and then he passed away less than 1 month after buying it for him. at least he got to bush hog the garden field with it. but my problem now is that he never showed me how to start it or what any of the levers do or anything. so thinking it can't be any harder than my super A I got out there this evening and tried to start it up.sucess. now my problem is trying to figure out how to make the 3 point hitch drawbar drop down. I pulled on a circle rod on passenger side when sitting on it and hitch lifted all the way up. how do you get it to go down? I have pushed, pulled, and wiggled on everything I could think of but no luck. this is the first time I have been allowed to touch it other than driving it home on the trailer after he loaded it and I had to stay in truck even then and hold brakes so I couldn't even watch to learn what he did. but that was okay because the looks on his face was worth the whole thing as he got to have his dream.70 years old before he got his first tractor. help! if rules allow and I don't step on anyones toes I live in Old Hickory, Tn. I need to get this field bush hogged so I can give the hayride that he did for the church each year with my little tractor and he was looking forward to using "his" tractor this year so in his memory this has got to be done. thank you.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. The Lift-All belly pump should relaese pressure when you slightly lift the circle-thing-lever up a little bit, so the little detent bar on the bottom of the lever clears the opening, and you keep on pushing the circle-thing, all the way down. It should push down another few inches, and the pressure should then release. You then lift the little bar back up in the opening, and it will rest against the opening for storage.

Pick up on the circle rod and push in. Some of them require a firm push, but you should feel it when you push hard enough.
Since the H and M had a single action system, you will probably need some weight on the 3 point arms to lower it. If the mower is mounted, it should go down when the lever is pushed all the way forward. If not, you may need to have someone push it down or add some weight (sack of feed or something) while pushing in the lever.
