Is a rebuilt short block available for a 1949 MD?

Not off the shelf. You can barely get a rebuild kit for the engine. To the best of my knowledge there is nobody providing a gas short block for that matter.

I've got a MD engine, locked up, don't know much about it actually, but gonna pull the head soon and have it checked out. I'm in South Central Fl.
