Heard poping and clicking in the front hub on ih cub (mid 60's). I assume it is the bearings, but what else is involved? I know that this is hard to answer without seeing it in person, but what typically goes along with broken bearings. The tractor is three hours away and would like to take parts with me next time I go. Please give me your opinions and knowledge. Thanks alot.

The rim is loose on the hub if the bearing goes out the wheels will tilt sideways the clicking sound is probably loose bolts on the hub you will probably need new ones as the threads are probably shot and mite not tighten up.

hacksaw/chisel.

Not sure if it'd really happen on a cub front wheel, but with a three hour ride, I'd at least be prepared for the possibility that one of the bearings "welded" itself in place.

Had the same thing happen had to replace inner bearing, race, seal and seal sleeve. Bearing price not bad but seal and sleeve was over 50 dollars from the dealer
