Farmall 706 Early Gas

This is call to Cyberspace. Anybody out there got photos or movies
of range transmission or Speed Transmission rebuild? I probably
need reverse gear (driven) and maybe the 1/2 and/or 3/4 gears.
The engine is solid and the TA seems to be working O.K.
If not photos, then your history on this tear down would be helpful.

Well i can tell ya this it is a lot of work and will be the last gear ya take out and the first one back in . So what your sayen is that someone droppped the park while it was still moving our she jumped out of park because it still has the old style over center park lock in it. As to what your talking about the 1/2 34/ gears i don't have a clue unless your talking about some special pulling gears. As for a movie of said tear down i never made one. Best ya can do is books and read .
 
What they mean is, you're making assumptions about the 706's speed transmission design that are wrong.

I looked at the parts diagram on caseih.com, and the 706 has a separate gear for each of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. 4th is apparently direct drive through the speed transmission.

It's a very different design from the older 5-speed "M" style transmission, where I do believe that 1st and 2nd gears are on a common spool (i.e. the 1/2, "one slash two" NOT one-half gear) and 3rd and 4th are on a common spool (i.e. the 3/4, "three slash four" NOT three-quarters gear).
