IHC B 250

I"ve been offered a B 250 with a PTO problem. Are parts available for this model?

They are available. Some parts may only be available over sea's but you can get them. Also, alot of parts are interchangeable with other brands, mahindra (spelling?) has some interchangeable parts.

They are good little tractors, and fairly simple to work on. Depending on the repair you may not need many parts?

Hi, good tough reliable tractor. There were several common parts with later models, B275,B414,434,444,384.

Most common PTO problem is there is a pin on the PTO engagement shaft that pushes a collar to engage to PTO. The pin shears off and PTO is either ON or OFF.
The pin can be replaced by removing the PTO engagement lever and shaft.
I believe the only really difficult repair item is the inline fuel injection pump.

Maybe MJ in UK or someone with more up to date parts experience can add more.

Yes Jim is right, more than likely the roll pin in the selector arm. The B250 as a simple PTO drive from the rear of the transmission and is a simple unit to work on. MJ
