Hi guys. Got the alternator back sooner than expected. The shop said it had a bad negative diode. Put it on and now the amp light is out when the tractor is running.

Let her run again for about 10 minutes and the temperature gage was almost all the way to the hot. I opened the throttle all the way for a little bit and then slowed her back down to about 1,000 rpm and in about 10 seconds the temperature gage began to fall and then stayed in the middle range where I would expect it to stay. Let her cool off and then started her again and just let her run at 1,000 rpm and the temp stayed right in the middle. What do you guys think? Is my thermostat ok, or is it kind of iffy? If the weather holds up, I am going to do some plowing with the tractor.

Stickey T-stats are common. Check the coolant level to assure it is within 2 inches of the bottom of the fill neck, but not closer than 1/5 inches. then go plow! Jim
