Are these available somewhere yet??

I am helping a friend with his `54 Super H. He said he remembers that as a kid seeing a `54 that had a pre-cleaner similar to this one. Could it be true? Only for the 1954 model? The one I have in the photo was purchased by him at the MN RPRU. He got home and put it on the H but the diameter of the tube to the engine and the diameter of the pre cleaner were equal. Could this be from another smaller letter series? Any comments or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

They were an option. Not sure what years. I did run
across someone who was reproducing the plastic but I
don't now remember where?

Not lucky enough to find a part number although it does say UNITED AIR CLEANER DIV> Novo Industries Chicago Ill.

I heard the same thing from a respected IH Mechanic in the area. Do you know if they had different sizes for the different letter series? I enjoyed meeting you and having breakfast with you the Thurs am at RPRU in Albert Lea. How are the cattle and crops doing in your neck of the woods?

Take Care!

Harold Robinson in Mo. can get the reproduction
sleeves, buy there is a wait, problems getting the
material. Oliver tractors also had United
Specialties air cleaners in the mid 50's and I
recall a neighbor that had that same air cleaner on
a 340 IH.
