IH SW6 stuck in reverse

I'm hoping for some advice. I was excited to purchase a early SW6 in my area. The tractor is straight but has been sitting for 15 years. Clutch is stuck but engine is free, biggest issue when i jump on it to tow it, it is stuck in reverse and will not budge. I popped the shifter and tried the screwdriver trick, I've shot PG blast into it, jacked the tires to take off the pressure, norhting works, I'm at a loss. It seems that 1/3 are locked, 2/3 can move easily, reverse and 5th are locked. Has anybody and advice? Thanks, Dan

Who knows? the rail may be stuck solid or the problem may be the gears stuck on the splined shaft. How rusty do things look through the hole? You may have to take the cover off.

I think your right, I'll have to get that cover off. Rails look clean and nice, what I can see through the oil fill hole looks clean as well. Neighbor guys says I may have some luck pulling the belt pully assembly first. Thanks for the reply. I'll post back what I end up with. Dan
