missing key for tractor. supply house says there is only one key. my friend says there are 2 keys. supply house sent me one, it does not fit.

it seems to be a big job to remove and replace switch.

any ideas?

Check with hamiltonbobscubs. Explain your situation and tell him what key you currently have. If there is a second one he will probably be familiar with it. If he doesn't have one, he will be able to ID what you need.

There are two keys that will fit(one of them)a full size IH tractor, 400,450,656,504, etc. And the strange one is JD lawn tractors, 318,317,f-725,F-332. I carry two keys and they will fit almost every lawn and garden and most tractors and I am not counting the stamped key for MTDs One key has deep cuts in it and the other has a shallower cuts

The most common key for the 184 is a # 1146. This key was used in IH tractors for years. Check with you Case-IH dealer. The new keys are not stamped.
