alternator for an H

I am going to be putting an alternator on a Farmall H and was wondering which one to use. I have seen this request before but don't remember which one was said to use. I know it was something smaller than a delco because of space limitations.

Hitachi from a Nissan D21 PU about 1986 87.
L is the same as terminal 1 on the Delco 10SI, S terminal is the same as Terminal 2 on the 10SI.

I agree with Jim, just put one on my H. You can use the original bracket and make a lower pivot from all thread. The upper bracket and belt will work without modifications.

Hitachi. This is the one on my 300. I used that same one in a same configuration on my SH

Hitachi 14231 alternator is the model they're talking about.

Funny thing is mine wouldn't fit under the hood of my SH on the standard bracket. It stuck up too much even leaning against the valve cover.

We had to make up some spacer blocks to push the bottom of the alternator out away from the engine a couple of inches.
