pto clutch pressure

Hello,
Just had my pto unit rebuilt on my F656 and put it back on today. Went to check the hydraulic pressure while it was engaged and found it to be only 175 psi at operating speed. If I raise plunger all the way I can get the recomennded 220 psi.
The likage is so worn that I may have to cut one of the pieces and weld it shorter to take up the slack. Any other ideas before I take that route?
Thanks,
YC

IF you can not turn the stem into the nut to gain more pressure then put a kink in the linkage for it to pull up higher . Sometimes you can gain a bit by loosening the mounting bolt on the linkage and move it up in the bolt holes or you also could oval the holes a bit and move it up. as to the pressure that it should be with out going to the truck off the top of my head i am not sure as thew books are in the truck and it is pouring out there and i am not going out . The 220 will be fine on a 656.
