international A battery location

I recently purchased an international A and the homemade battery box hangs from the side of the torque tube. My question is where was the original battery location? I know it was not the same as the farmall A.
Other differences I have noticed are a heavy front axle,a water pump and steering gear, any thing else I've missed?

As far as I know, the battery on a Farmall A and an International A are mounted exactly the same way, in exactly the same place.

The water pump was likely added aftermarket, it is easy to do.

The only differences I know of between a Farmall A and an International A are the front axle, the foot throttle, and the decal on the side of the hood.

Dave is correct, other than the foot throttle and the heavy duty front axle and brace it is the same as an A, battery boxes are identical.

Same box the regular A takes. Its easier to tie the clutch pedal down so you can get the box slid in from the pedal side easier. It wont go in from the other side very easy choke rod and throttle rod are in the way so i always put them in from pedal side. Clead the thread holes first makes it easier.
