MD Timing Gear/head assembly

I have the opportunity to purchase a 1950 Farmall MD. Apparently the timing gear broke and the current owner did replace it. While he was working on it, he went ahead and rebuilt the head since it was apart. He did install the new timing gears but the head and injectors are still off of the tractor. Is there anything I should be concerned about or is it as easy as bolting it back together and priming the fuel rails or not quite that easy. Thanks in advance for any advice.

There's a lot more to it than 'bolting it back together.' There's a lot of adjusting to do on the linkage and valves. Get you a repair manual and follow it's directions.

It is kind of like Jim said. It is pretty much bolting the head on and the injectors. There are some important torque numbers to follow. Then the starting linkage should really be adjusted after having all that crap off. It is also a good time to take apart the big throttle thing on the side. They are notorious for getting rusty and cruddy and making the throttle really hard to run. The "bell crank" was also a spot for rust on mine.
