hello everyone , looking for some info on farmall 856 lp . how many made and years made . my friend bought a 856 lp with what looks like a factor cab on it .any info appreciated

Ted, Your friend VERY WELL May have Bought What I believe to be one of the rarest Farmalls ever made!!!
I have seen 856 DSLs in huge #s, But over the yrs on YT I have never seen 1 at all come up for sale.! It would be the Big brother to the 806 LP
The 56 Series was the last where LP Fuel was offered as an option! Most farmers were opting toward DSL at a rapid rate of speed.
Yrs produced same as the 56 Series. 1967 to 1971
Production #s will be so few it would rival the JD 430/435DSL..... IMO!
I have only seen....

2 756 LPs
0 856 LPs

Google up 856 Farmall Tractor, you will wind up at external_link you can look at the info on the DSL, Gas, LPGas versions!

Don't know how many were made but I agree that is was not many. The only one I have actually seen is in a massive storage facility in NE.
