discusted 154 shifter fork

i have gotten 2 new shifter forks for a 154 cub lowboy and on both of them the bolt hole is off about half the diameter of the bolt. has anyone else had this problem? what can i do to get it work with out destroying something more than i already have?

If new means reproductions, the problem is common. If new means new to the tractor, but from salvage, I would indicate a different issue might be on tap. If the trans has not been taken apart, and is not free to move axially (thrust washers are in place) I would braze weld up the hole and re-drill it as needed. (Jim Braze weld is using the brass as filler to relocate the hole.) Jim
