s/c farmall

I bought a s/c farmall had the wrong starter on it so I reolaced with the correct on then found I had a leak in the gas tank had it fixed .Tryed to start it now when pulling on the stsrter rod the starter goes so far then stops for a bit it goes again act every now and the it try to start with either I dont think its pulling gas into the cylinder to spark.

The starter system might be low on battery. If it goes RRRRRrrrrr......RRRRRrrrrrr...... The battery is not fully charged. Or the cables are small, Must be 0gauge cables!!!
or the "new starter is dragging and needs to be rebuilt. My best answer. It will not start until it turns over strongly. Jim

Charge or replace the battery and clean all connections. My 2 C's turn over fine with 2 gauge cables, even in the winter. Of the IH engines the C113/123 are the easiest to start.

Mess with the s/c today charged the battery used either and the plug nare not even fouled . Any ideals

Is it cranking fast, if not that must be fixed. Check the lights like I suggested in the other response and let us know. Jim
