IH 300U steering woes soon to be resolved!

well thats it fellas, i ordered my Jackson Power Steering system yesterday and cant wait to do the install. Roland Jackson is a great guy to do business with.
i looked at just about every other route but this is the only thing that makes sense to me. my 300U is a great machine and now will be even better and i plan on keeping it for ever..
i looked at rebuilt boxes, salvaged boxes, and even doing a hydraulic system myself by purchasing components and making my own lines and brackets, but for a little more money im going with the set up thats ready for my machine....
 
This is exactly the sort of set up I'm looking for to use on my 460U. After seeing your post I went to the site to see if he offers one - its not listed but I'm hoping one of them will work.
 
Haven't bee to the site recently but I am assuming you are getting a four-port "hand pump" (never understood why it is called that), two single acting cylinders, misc brackets, and four hoses. This assumes that you are using tractor hydraulics which may be difficult without the proper valves and controls. More likely he is also sending a pump with or without a reservoir. Gotta be expensive. Maybe several thousand dollars.
 
no not several thousand, 1360 shipped to my door. not sure about the handpump thing, thats not mentioned in the ads anymore. everything i will need to make my 300U turn easy and eliminate the weak mechanical link that IH utility tractors are known for...i should have done this years ago.

No luck on the 460U. Got an email from Roland saying he can't provide steering for that model. Too bad -thought this might be the answer I was looking for.
