'39 H radiator...

No the tubes ar OK but if you have the 1/4 turn fasteners you do need the radiator that has the receiver for them. The J-hook ones are different and so is the upper brace on the radiator.

The upper radiator brace comes back and bolts to the thermostat housing. The later ones had the support running across the valve cover from the steering shaft support.

Yes, on the older ones. The fill neck on the early radiators has the same type of opening as the fuel tank. It is a non-pressure radiator.

You better just take it in and get it recored. We have Wedige Radiator in Elkhorn, WI and they are pretty decent. They aren't cheap though.

I'll keep that in mind for future reference, thanks. The H I bought earlier this year didn't come with a radiator & I was $crewed out of a different '39, about two months ago, that I needed for parts.
