I've noticed some other pictures of nicely restored F-20's on this site latey. I thought you guys might want to see some pictures of my 1932 F-20. I Restored it this year for 4-H. You might have seen it at the Iowa State fair. Note the "Duckbill" steering gear cover. The rear tires have been on the tractor since 1943, and I have never put a drop of air in them. Too bad nobody makes tires and tubes like that anymore.

Nice job. That tractor really looks good. I just got my tires from Titan last week to finish my F-20 for 4-H. You're lucky you had original tires. That's really cool.

I ordered rear tires from Titan half a year ago and they never showed up. So I guess I'm not gonna get any. At least I got my fronts for free.

That's a real jewel, looks real nice, it's a "model" for old F-20's of that era. I'd keep those old closed center Firestones on those old cut-downs, they were a commmon sight in the 1940's. (I wuz there and remember). Get some other wheels to put new tires on. For real correctness you might wanna find an old 4 spoke cast iron steering wheel too. Whatever, it's a neat old machine.

Like it VERY much!!!!!!!! COOOOOL !!!!!

ONLY thing I dont like is the steering wheel.(NOT a big deal,I am just "picky" like that.Great tractor!)

Congratulations Evan! When you were emailing me last winter I was sure hoping you had someone good to help you with your problems as I was afraid you would never get the engine back together let alone running. You have overcome some pretty big obstacles. I do want to remind you and any other youth the the Ohio Chapter is sponsoring a Youth Restoration Contest for the 2013 RPRU and there is no timeline as to when the tractor can be completed as long as it is before the June 2013 show and the entrant meets the age guidelines at that time. For any youth restoring a tractor now you need to document the process with notes and pictures. You can download the application form at the Ohio website.

It depends on what size you requested for tires. If you requested 13.9x36s, you could be getting a set soon. Mine just showed up at my house late last week. Could I talk to you more about your tractor? I always like to know how much sand/paint/etc. it takes to restore an F-20. [email protected]

Evan, about that steering wheel. You have a Sheller steering wheel. The 3 spoke Sheller wheel was likely a replacement. That wheel was standard equipment after march of 37. However a wooden rimmed wheel was optional from the beginning of production, it is possible your tractor had one and when the wood got bad the owner replaced it with the Sheller. I have never found an intact wood wheel. Or it was just an upgrade. It is not correct for the year but it is correct for an F series. If you like it leave it on there. 80 year old workhorses can sport some non-original equipment and still be cool
