I am sending this out in hopes that someone can help. I am trying to liquidate my father's estate and came across a 1919 International 8-16 Tractor in the barn. I have seen what refurbished ones go for. Does anyone know what an unfunbished one would go for?

It sounds like you already have a price in mind. I don't see how you can say you have seen what they go for. The asking price and the getting price in todays market is often miles apart. Granted the 8-16 is kind of unique because so few were made. I also know of one here in Pa and it also is as you describe. I am really anxious to see guys put a dollar value on one. Not having seen it and not having checked it out, makes it difficult to price though. I would like to get the one I know of for about $2000. Years back when collecting was still big I saw a couple sell for $5000 in running condition. Good luck.

Friend of mine at a sale in Northern VA paid 3500 for a complete rust bucket, motor locked and as rought as you can imange. One other one brought 6500 that was a little better but rusted and locked up,this one has showed up in the rpru.If yours is loose and complete ill bet it wont miss 10,ooo

Thank you very much for your info. I think that mine is somewhere in-between the first two. I don't live in the same state as the tractor, but I will investigate and get more info on my next trip.
Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I really didn't have a figure in mind. Originally, I thought it might only be worth around $1000 and then I saw two restored asking $22000 and $30000. Now I guess that it could go anywhere from $2000-$4000
Thanks.

You can always go down in price. The only time you can raise your price and get away with it is at an auction.

Were are you located I have been looking to add one to my collection if you are close i might be interested. Thank You, Tom

Well, alot of good statements have been made. Auction is one of the better ways to get your best price. If you are selling it outright, and have the price too high, people won't "bite". If you start it too low, you might lose out on a fair (to both parties) price.

If I were in your shoes, I would put it on eBay or similar. Get's you wide visibility, the fee's are a tad steep, but not outrageous, and people who really want it, and have the ability to pay for it, will bid.

Get as much info as you can on the over all condition, take some good pictures, and list it on eBay.

The Tractor is in the Finger Lakes area of New York State. I live in a different state, but if you are interested and want to look at it, I can arrange for someone to show it to you.

Thank you for your suggestion. There are a couple of people that have expressed interest. If that doesn't work out I will put it up for auction.

I am waiting for some pictures and I will see if I can get the #'s for you. I will send to your email when I get them.
Thank you.
