I would like to thank all of you for helping me with various tractors over the years. I am in the process of restoring my grandfathers tractor. I have repaired the transmission and hydraulic pump. Rebuilt the engine and the steering. I need to do some seals and brakes and body work. I had hopes of restoring it to factory original but i needed it to do some work on my family's farm. I hope to finish restoring it this fall. I hope you like the pics

Looks good! All it needs now is paint. I have a saginaw hitch on my 300. It"s great. I did upgrade to a quieter muffler though- otherwise I"d be wearing earplugs or ear muffs like you!

Looks like a good straight tractor. A good pressure washing and some degreaser should clean that baby right up and have it ready for paint.

No I am going to keep the modifications I have now. It would not be cost effective to revert back to an original H. I also really like the down pressure on the3pt hitch. The 2" reciever is very handy too. I am suprised i haven't seen more of them on tractors.

Nice H! I noticed, at least to my eyes, you're running the Saginaw hitch off the belly pump. You mentoned you like the down pressure. I wonder if you could sketch out a diagram of your particular set up. The reason I'm asking is: a year ago I drove from western PA to his shop and back in a day and picked up that excellent hitch! Life has been crazy busy (like everyone elses) and I haven't plumbed it in yet.
Thanks if you can or can't!
Dave

Sorry I don"t have time to draw. I locked the belly pump open so it can not turn off. I hooked a double spool valve on an open center system to the pressure line then ran a return to the fill port on the pump. When the clutch is released the pump is running. Then I just plumbed in the hydraulics. The saginaw hitch has two pins that can be removed to have a flote or installed to have down pressur. Hope this helps
