Hyd prob on M

I had been out plowing with my M yesterday and drove
it home about 8 miles and when i went to unhook my
plow i could not get the hyds to release. It felt
like something was blocking the lever on the inside.
The pump still worked, i could raise it but it
wouldnt drop. Any ideas what went wrong? First
time this has happened.

Thanks

Make sure a hyd hose hasn't pulled lose that goes to the tractor from the plow cyl..

If it has, be careful, you are going to make a mess as it will be under pressure.

We need a bit more info. What system does the M have? Belly Pump, or Live, Remote control with 2 hoses, or one. If one hose, the coupler is probably stuck, and will need the pressure taken off (jack up the plow to relieve the cylinder). Be careful, if the coupler is broken it can be dangerous if all pressure is not removed first. Jim

It has the belly pump. One way hyds. I already have the plow unhooked. But the lever still wont go forward like it is supposed to.

If the Rod is lifted over its stop nub so thet it can go forward and won't, there is linkage screwed in the pump internal linkage. Jim

If the Plow was raised and the rod pulled out for a little too long fully out, and then the coupler came loose, it could be locked from that internal pressure. When you take the hose off of the elbow fitting be careful to relieve pressure befor just unscrewing it. If no pressure, there is an internal link fault requiring the removal of the pump. Jim
