H Air Cleaner Oil Bath

Putting my H back together, I'm not sure I have the bottom oil-bath part right. It doesn't look right. Does the little belly-band go on wide-side DOWN? It seems to, but it looks like the oil bath could drop.

The wide side goes down so you can remove and clean. If you tighten the band the bottom will not drop off

It will only fit one way, went down that road about a month ago.

No, it will fit either way, because I have done it, but the correct way is with the narrow part up, so that the band will stay on the main body when you loosen it to remove the bowl.

I think he meant it will only go one way for the band to stay with the body.

I just did this, the bowl will not tighten up if it is upside down.
