F-30 Wheels

I want to put front cast wheels on my F-30 but can't find any. I have also heard that F-20 front wheels will work but need to be modified. Has any one on here ever been down this road, using F-20 wheels on a F-30? What needs to be done. Thanks for your time.

I put F-20 spoke wheels on the front of my W-30 by removing an insert from the inside chase. Don't know if it will work for a F-30.

The wheels are the same, just the bearings are different. Knock the races out and put in the races out of the wheels that were on the F-30.

the OD of the flat steel backer and the felt seal are bigger on a 30 than a 20. or the other way around, i forget. either way the felt and backer are different between the two as well :?

I have a set of F&H front cast wheels that were sold to me as F-30. Got them home, and they don't fit. hubs too small. They fit my Regular just fine.

So, my opinion is that they won't fit, as the hub will be too small........and I may be wrong.

I stand corrected, you are right the inside diameter of the hub where the felt seal runs is about a quarter of an inch biger on a 30 wheel than it is on a 20 wheel, other than that it is the same. Now am I going to be able to get those near perfect front spokers off an F-20 to go on my F-30, only time will tell. If not guess the dinged up ones will go back on......
