my W-6 ran lousy at pulls today, plugs looked lousy, have autolite 3116, are these correct, or what is correct number to put in..autolite only,,,just need a couple correct answers please.

well i am not a fan of autolite, but the tractor came with D16 champions. thats what i use and she will chug right down to its last breath in the pulls. cant blame the plugs , as the carb and timing must be set also.
 
also forgot to menstion, that if your just puttsing around and let the plugs foul up, then they will not fire properly no matter what brand of plug you have.tractor should be worked at operating temp to keep plugs clean.you could put in a new set in just before you pull.
 
Unless the yare old, you may have other problems. I run Autolite 386s in all mine tractors, except my F14 of course, and my Cub which seems to like the 388s better. Ive never had much luck with Champions.
 
yea i know that the seller didn't run all that much after rebuilding motor...i try to run for a long time when i start it up for any reason...should have checked them long before the pull,,,can't cut corners...looked bad being out pulled by small tractors with less power...
