c, super c, 200 , 230

(quoted from post at 15:38:27 09/18/11) would any of these tractors operate/handle a 5ft brush hog? thanks for your experience.
Sure, but it might be a stretch for the C in certain conditions. The SC and later had a little bigger engine and should handle it as easily as an 8N Ford. Be sure to have an over run clutch on the PTO like you would the earlier Fords, and of course you will either need a pull type, or add on 3 point.

Depends on what you are mowing after the first pass you dont need to take a full cut. How high is the mower set can make a big difference too. You can always set the mower high then wait a few days and then cut lower. Get one with two rear wheels those can be set for cutting better.

I run a 6' behind my SC. It's for maintenance of an existing pasture. If your going to try to bust brush on a pasture that's not been cut in a while your way under HP'ed

You learn fast to kick the pto out of gear or the tranny into neutral as thats the way we did when those tractors were new as they didnt have the over-running devices so we just learned how to kick out of gear.
