MD carb float

Hey guys! Time for a new float in the MD carb. Dont have it in front of me at the moment to look at so want to make sure I have the right part number to take to my dealer. From what I see on the IH parts website, they list a cork (what I have now) #32572DAX for 35691D bowl or rubber #261650R11 for 35691DA bowl. Now, the bowl that I have, has 5051-D cast into it... Something funny going on or does it matter which float I get??? Thanks for your help!
 
It's been a long time, but several years ago, I was told by the IH dealer that the MD carb float was a discontinued part and they could not get it. I believe that OEM has them as an aftermarket item. Go to OEMTRACTORPARTS.COM

Steiner's has all the stuff OEM has for about half the price. I would guess OEM is buying from them so they have the part available and then marking it up.
 
I went ahead and ordered the rubber float. Its the only one that is still available...I was able to find it from T.H.E. Company for like $25!
