I bought a carburetor repair kit and in the process or cleaning and rebuilding the carb. Everything is fine till I removed the air intake throat body, as it was so junked up, it would hardly turn. As I removed the round plate held in place by the two small screws on the swingarm (for better purpose of not knowing the part name), a small BB size metal ball fell out. So where does it go, stumped. Carburetor is a 358065R91 as noted on small tag. I also notice there is an arrow pointing on the round plate, anyone have any pictures of how to install this properly.
Appreciate any help. Thanks Greg

That shaft is the choke. On the side of the carb where the arm off the shaft is there is a small hole that is where the ball goes. It also has a spring in the hole. That puts pressure on the choke arm for tension.

Choke and throttle plates only fit correctly in one position. I don't remember an arrow, but it should point to the front. If in doubt, when they close the openings without binding they are correct.

(quoted from post at 04:13:57 09/18/11) Thanks for the help. I'll check it out, did not see a spring, but then it might have gone chucking somewhere.

Most likely the spring is still down in the hole. There is enough dirt, dried grease/oil in that hole that usually the spring is next to impossible to remove unless you spray a bunch of carb cleaner directly into the hole first,

mine did"nt have it in it.Someone prior had lost it or done away with it an used a spring to hold it.I used a spring out of a ball point pen.Cut it off,and a BB has worked fine for years.
