I finally got this tractor home, going to get the other one next week. From the #s that I have found on the plate under the gas tank, it is a 1939 10-20. Serial # KC 218177. Acording to F20 it is an orchard model. Now I am cofused, I thought that this was the 15-30 and the other one is the 10-20. I guess I will have to get the #s off of the other tractor when I get it home.
The other tractor is much heavier.

Super H,I have no intention of restoring it. I only bought them to part out. I will have to see if there is any interest in them whole. Tony, thanks for the heads up on the tank. I found some more #s. Tractor # KC 218177, Engine # KCE 214157, Casting date code under the clutch/engine housing, K290. There ia also a capital N and a capital B in a diamond. Would the K290 tell me what date it was made.

looking at the old pictures that you first put up all i could see of this tractor was the magneto side and i thought it was possibly a W-30 orchard. once i saw the manifold side (later pics) i clearly knew it was a 10-20.

the other tractor on full steel i thought was a 10-20 but i studied the last set of pictures you put on there and determined it was a 15-30. before 1929 they didnt run oil filters and they all somewhat look the same to a point. it also didnt have the orginal fuel tanks or fenders for reference. 10-20's had a single large tank (kerosene) and the small round starter tank in the back. 15-30's had a kerosene tank AND a water tank plus the small round starter tank. clear as mud now?! lol

send me an email on that 10-20 orchard
