Farmall C Diesel?

I saw a picture in a book of tractor history that showed a C farmall, and the badging on the side clearly said International, Farmall, and Mcormic Deering, along with Diesel. The engine looks like a small diesel, not the regular C engine. The article didn't mention anything about the tractor, just the connection of the names. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of a conversion for the C similar to the M/Sheppard or if this was a picture of a non-existant tractor. Maybe something IH considered doing but never did?

The C diesels were assembled in France using a French-built diesel engine.

Follow on model was the Farmall FD230 - a French-built, diesel-powered Farmall 230. I got photos of one at the Western NY Gas & Steam show a couple years ago. Nice little tractor!

I believe (based on discussion with the FD235 owner) the C diesel was built by IHC in France. The FD 235 engine looked remarkably similar to the Farmall 230 gas engine - perhaps it was based on a beefed-up C123 gas block?

The French built Farmall Super FCD used a 123 cu inch diesel, block looked very similar to that of the Farmall Super FCC gasoline engine. It appears to be a redesign of the engine in a standard Farmall Super C, the major difference appears to be that the water pump and thermostat are behind the fan as in most engines rather than having the pump down by the inlet to the block as seen in the US built Farmall Super C etc.

Farmall C diesels were built by IHC in France. See link.
The French Farmall C was also available with a 113 gas engine. Rumor goes that the US 113CID engine will interchange with the French 113CID engine but that the internal parts of these engines will NOT interchange.
HTH, Hendrik from NL.
Google search for Farmall FCD

My father in law has one, just got it this spring, it came from France. Block is same as the gas C, just different head, water pump, and has a monster of a Bosch inj. pump on it.

Now, if there were just a way to add a TA to it, it would be a great tractor
Maybe someone could come up with a "one-off" Super CD-TA... that would be cool.
