Anyone ever hall a plow like this in the bed of an 8 foot pickup truck? Think it will fit?

measure it and find out. most likly will need to remove hitch and rear wheel assembly. i would go with rear first in truck. pick it up with front end loader. i have hauled farmall A's and my W-12 in a 1/2 ton.sometimes ya just gotta do what ya gotta do.

Hi, my brother hauled the 3pt hitch version of that plow in his Chevy Sierra 1/2 ton. I believe he removed the tail wheel and lifted it in with a front end loader and had the rear to the cab. His 1/2 ton has an extra leaf in the rear springs.

I believe it is to wide when you angle it into the bed.Squeezed a AC snap coupler 2-14 into a 8 foot bed and it almost didn't fit.

The center of gravity on that plow is up there quite a ways. If you can fit it in laying down or even upside down, you will have better luck getting it home without an uh-oh. Put a piece of 3/4 plywood in the bed before loading--it evens out the pressure points between the plow & bed of the truck.
I hauled a 3-bottom JD plow home from Moline [45 miles] in the '67 1100 IH pickup for the landlord & didn't have any trouble.
That plow was heavier than the one you're getting. It was an adjustable width outfit that had lots of extra iron.

i hauled a 3-14 #8 little genius in a pickup. flipped the hitch up and turned the tailwheel sideways. it was tight but it fit

I hauled a 4-14" No. 60 plow in the back of my F-150 years ago. I had the sliding rear window, so I opened it up and put the hitch in the cab with me......................My young and stupid days, but it did work.

I've also hauled a Little Genius 3 bottom that way. Scrap yard said it weighed 800 lbs (missing too many parts and too many farmer fixes to be worth messing with).

Good to know. I bought one this summer by the pound and we never got a chance to weigh it. I figured 900, but this one was missing the hitch.

Yes!it is easily haulable.I used to haul a IH#314(3 bottom 2way fast hitch)in my '67 F-100 with a crossbed toolbox.Leave the tailgate down, let the hitch hang out the back, throw a chain/ratchet strap over the top and drive away!hauled that plow many miles like that.

Thank you all for the replies! I have to get it bought first but it's about 50 miles away from home and don't have a trailer and really don't want to drive the tractor that far to get it if i do end up being the highest bidder. Thanks again!
