Super A Hydraulics

Anyone have any advice on adjustment of the hydraulic arms/valves on a Super A. In my restoration I have had to lean forward the Vertical Steering support to mate up with battery box. After entire reassembly my control rods for the hydraulics are out of adjustment.
What is the maximum forward and rearward angle of the control arms? I know I can adjust some of this with the stops under the Hydralic assembly and the arms. One of the pistons will come to far back now and it will jam up the control.
Any advice on this appreciated, otherwise just trial and error.

Thanks

Personally I would make a bracket that put the steering back where it belongs. The geometry is important, Cutting and welding the rods is a bit drastic, and reduces the value of the unit. A shimming bracket is far easier, and will have the post where its geometry is correct. Jim

I split the difference. The steering shaft is now vertical and I shimmed under the front of the battery box so that it mated up well with the control panel. I only moved on the steering shaft about a inch from original position.

I won't be cutting or welding any rods, just adjusting the turnbuckles at the end.

Anyone know the forward and rearward travel angle of the lift arms from Vertical? I don't have any equipment on it at the time, so it is hard to tell. I guess I could just get them to where forward and rearward travel were equal?

Thoughts?

Thanks Jim,

I didn't have that particular manual. That will certainly help if I can understand the procedure.

I noticed the picture shows a Super A hydraulics with Double lift arms on both sides. Mine has two lift arms on the left but only one on the right side. Did this vary among Super A's or do I have hydraulics from another tractor?

The additional arm was used on the Farmall C Touch Control, which was otherwise identical to the Super A.
