From what I can see in the picture it looks like s nice complete and straight tractor. Didn't realze that when you have the hydraulic brakes you also have the standard vrakes also. The front axle would be a factory option for this model. Congrats on a nice clean original I-9.

I'm surprised you didn't load up the 600D. There was enough room on the trailer. You must have six or seven 9 series now.

That straight axle was also on my I-9 and fitted with 20" rubber.

The individual hand brakes must be for turning. The single pedal was the service brake. The hydraulic brakes are better for road travel in fifth. Bet those hydraulic brakes came from the truck plant. Probably K-6 or bigger.

I also responded to your post at the RPM forum.

Yes Wardner we also looked at the 600d but the price just wasn't right plus the I9 was a cleaner looking tractor real nice tin owner said it was sitting for 20 years in a shed liked it because it was different but the same model we have >we have a few 9's now hope to have 4 running soon 2 I9's and a wd9 and SWD9 the 2 we picked up in new york are parts for the others we have as the wd9 has a noisy tranmission and no hyd or belt pully gearbox and the parts 9's have em

looked at it enough to notice spark plugs thought that big of tractor would have been a diesel not gas think he said it had clutch issues didn't ask more send me an email and I can get you his # the tractor is about 30 miles north of concord NH

Am I crazy,or is that PTO hole cover in the photo the SAME AS the steering cap on an "M" ???(Looks JUST like my steerng gear cover that sits on top of my bolster on my Super M!)
