Farmall 560 rear rims & mounts

Ok...

As many of your know, my plan is to remount wheels from tires and paint them off the tractor.

Question is this, Im thinking of buying NEW mounts and bolts only because everything else is new.

your thought??

If you have the bolts and wedges off, they would be
easy to clean on a wire wheel.

Why buy new?

Just my thoughts.

I agree with Gary, there shouldn't be anything wrong with the mounts unless they are wallowed out. Good idea to replace the bolts. I paint the mounts separately and use cadmium (or whatever they use) bolts not painted.
 
I wouldn't worry about it. I may or may not replace the bolts. I don't mind reusing big bolts like that and it isn't like they are in the head or anything.

I would worry about buying the guy in the picture a new hat. The one he has appears to be moldy or something. :lol:

how can you tell.... it's a late model, i know that.
