MD fuel injector pump not pumping?

Dont know if I am doing all of the things needed to get this tractor to run on diesel. Recently got it unstuck and running on gas well but the pump does not seem to be pumping fuel to the injectors. Last ran 2 years ago, ran fine. Have tried pulling on diesel and have changed filters and let them fill up. Are there other things to check before writing off the pump as not working. Levers do switch OK also. Also if it is the pump where to send it for repair? Thanks

do you have any primary pressure at the gauge on the pump? You should have around 40 psi of fuel pressure there. If you dont have a gauge put one in, they mount on the side of the large cap nut on the plunger.

If the ole girl ran fine two years ago, chances are your pump is OK. I would recomend bleeding the system as per the manual certainly before giving up on the injector pump. Bet you'll be fine. Good luck.

If it has fuel pressure on the gauge, The rack in the pump is probably stuck.
This is easy to fix and can be done (I did0 on the tractor. Take pictures and look at diagrams.
There is a plunger that moves within a sleeve. Old fuel will dry on the interface and gum the two together. Using carb cleaner, and small forces it can be freed. Jim

When you are pulling it, and diesel throttle is in open position, you should be getting smoke, if not, I agree that rack is stuck.

I triple agree. If you had it on gas and didn't move the throttle up they won't flow fuel. Mine has to be pretty high up to get fuel to #3 and #4 injectors.
