Cultivator for a B

I have a cultivator for a "B" that has seen little use and has been stored inside most of it's life.

I am located in north central ND, where such things are not common.

Yesterday, I was talking to an acquaintance who mentioned he has been looking for one for quite a while, just for something different, for parade use.

I said it was for sale, if we could arrive at a fair value. I don't want to "hold him up", but it IS worth SOMETHING to be put in the "toy fund" towards something I can use.

My questions are... anyone know the likely model number for a two-row cultivator for a "B"? What would be a fair asking price?

THANKS to all that can help!

Saw 2 sell recently at auction, stored inside paint good, looked like they were ready to work. They sold for $90. each

I won't try to answer the second question. The answer you already have is as good as any.

The first question has 3 answers.
B-221 - shifting gang style. (Probably 4 point front and 7 point rear.)
B-236 - fixed gangs, round tool bars (Probably 8 point front and 3 point rear.)
B - 238 - fixed gangs, rectangular tool bars. (Probably 8 point front and 3 point rear.)

Just a guess, B-238 is most likely in your area.

Better check the lift levers as it could be one for the exhaust lift and unless you have the rest of the system you cant lift it up. There were two types of manual lift levers. One type had a long and a short lever side by side. The other had a lever both the same length one for each side. The third type for the exhaust lift had two levers side by side but had a pulley and cable with one spring to lower the lever assy. Both others had two springs mounted forward of the lever assy. Hope this answers your questions as to which type of lift assy the cult has. The lever assy could be used on all four models the b-221,b-236.b-238 the other model which it probably isnt would be the b-435.

Thanks for that info! Luckily, I had it mounted to the "B" we had in the past and it worked well with NO exhaust lift involved.
