Is the 152 in the H the same as the 152 in the 504?

The 504 engine is derived from the A, B, C design. Lots of parts interchangeability among those engines.

The distributer may be the only thing that is swappable between a H and 504.

While the Hand the 504 use engines that have the same bore and stroke they are completely different engines. Because they already had a 152 CI engine in the H when the engine for the 504 came out it was listed as a C153 to tell them apart.

Not even close. The 153 is a sleeveless version of the 135. The 135 is the same design as the 113/123 in the A,B,C, and super series.

The 504 engine is basically a 113 from the A/B/C without sleeves, thats what I'd always heard anyway.

internal CI is the same as the H, but the block is smaller on the 504.
