PRICE OF AN IH444 GAS TRACTOR WITH 2000 LOADER

I am looking at an IH444 gas tractor with a 2000 loader in average condition, mostly surface rust on tin. Owner is asking for $4800.
Is that a fair price?

What's "average" condition?

Average is a word sellers use to try to convince themselves that their tractors are in better shape than they actually are.

For $4800, the tractor better be GLEAMING with decent, if not new, tires.

Tell him he can keep his golden shoebox.
