IH model help

I just bought an IH tractor. Not sure what model it is. I have the serial number but cant seem to find any sites with matching numbers.
S/N 480003B002706

Any help on the model number and year would be great!

Pictures would help, but if all else fails, go to the leftof the page and click on "Tractor Photos". Remember to seach IH, International Harvestor, Farmall, McCormick and McCormick Deering if you have absolutely no idea what you have.
 
Lars,the little alumimum tag you got the SN from will have the model stamped on it.There will be a decal or emblem on the hood-or is the hood totally gone?

You will not find an exact match for your serial number anywhere. The serial number listed will be the very first serial number issued for any given model year, so you need to look for a serial number that is lower than your number, and then you can determine the model year.
 
S/N 480003B002706

Your serial number is the last six digits, 002706. The B means that the tractor was made in Great Britain. The first six digits are the kind and code. I don't have any way to look them up but they would tell you the model and equipment level.
 
It might be a 444. look for one in the pictures to the left or go to
www <dot> tractor <no spaces> house <dot> com
and do a search for INTERNATIONAL 444 to see some pictures.
