Farmall c value

I recently got a farmall c tractor. It is currently not running
but is free but I can't get it to start. My original plan was to
get it running and sell it ot leave it as is and part it out. What
is it worth?
Brand new matching rear tires
Loader (currently not on but complete)
average tin

Thanks in advance

Joe

Pictures would help the most.

With the new tires, but not running, I wouldn't take the gamble for over $1,000. you may get up to $1,500, depending on where you are located.

JMO.

The new tires brings the value of the non-running tractor up a bit. Otherwise it would only be worth its weight in scrap, about $400.

Pull the valve cover and make sure all the valves are moving up and down, then check the compression. That'll tell you if its worth wasting your time trying to get it running.

I would not pay more than about $1500 for a running Super C with good tires. I might go $1700-$1800 if the tires are new.

The loader doesn't add much value unless by some stroke of luck it is a modern box channel loader with full-width hydraulic bucket. Those old pipe loaders with the narrow trip buckets are more curiosities than useful tools.

You need to pull a plug wire and see it there's any fire to your plugs. If there's no fire clean the points with some 320 wet or dry then check for fire to your plugs. If you have a distributor you need battery voltage for the engine to start. An easy way to check that is with your ignition switch in the on position and the points open you should have battery on both small terminals on your coil. Use a volt meter or test lite when checking for voltage.

If there's good fire to your plugs check your fuel system by disconnecting the gas line at the carburetor and see if there's a full stream of gas from the tank. If there's just a trickle your gas tank is dirty and needs cleaning and carburetor probably needs to soaked in carb cleaner and the jets blown out.. Post back what you find. Hal

If it is not stuck and has compression, you should be able to get it running pretty quickly. It the carb has gas and is not plugged up and you have a spark and the timing is reasonable, it should start.

Even with new tires, only about $1500, provided the buyer is familiar with the tractor, higher if you get a city person. Also it MUST run well. The C is too small for a loader, although some have one. If I knew about the loader, I would not buy it.
