HOW RARE IS THESE WEIGHTS FOUND THESE HOOKED
ON THE FRONT OF A 4020 JD TOOK THE CASTING NUMBER AND HAD AN IH PARTS MAN LOOK IT UP AND SAID THEY FIT A 300 350 400 450

Don't know how rare but I have two pair. One pair is surplus to me if you want them. I'm in eastern Mass.

I think you will find that rarity varies with location and soil type or terrain. I've never seen another set here in New England. One of my sets came from SD. Don't know the origin of the other set.

Dad bought a set when he got the 450D back in 1956. He only used them for 2 years along with the fast hitch 4 bottom plow. After that, we never used them. Was maybe a little light in the front end, but never had much trouble without the weights.
