Places in michigan to get a tractor restored and painted

maybe red

New User
I have a farmall C that i would like to get restore and painted and was wondering if anyone knew of a good place in Michigan to get it done and the appox cost. Tractor is in good shape, mostly need a good solid paint job.

I am in PA, so can't help out. Why don't you check with autobody shops? I know a couple near me that will paint a tractor. remember, when IHC painted these, they were mostly assembled (not completely) and there were runs, drips, spludges, you name it.

Is doing it yourself out of the question?

Roger I will get some pictures in the next couple of days and sent to you. I'm looking at really good paint job and not so much a show one since i will be using it for work.

I would see Hank Delbridge I hauled a 720D For him to the bridge last year. Looked like it came off the show room floor. Excellent job. If I get dads MD ready It will be him painting it. Call me at 989 413 5684 and I can give you his number.

To do it right you would need to have it disassemled like this man in Ohio does tractors.

I am glad you mentioned that Tom.

I have heard this comment MORE than once and it needs to be said more often.MOST tractors I see have been OVER restored. If you want an ACTUALL showroom Farmall,it probably will NOT have a perfect paintjob. It will have small flaws, drips, and smudges.(Just talk to the old timers who actually bought them back in the 40's and 50's)If you want a perfect"show tractor only" paint job,it will probably be OVER restored, but WILL look beutifull !!! It all really depends on what you want to end up with in the end . I like them all!!! I really do! But the OVER restored ones I would be VERY afraid to use for ANYTHING other than roping off and showing in the parade or show field only! I wouldnt even consider mowing my grass with those babys !!!

Just sayin,NOT putting them down,or nothing! :)

Thank you for the reply, I"m looking for a good paint but this will be a working tractor and not a show tractor.

(quoted from post at 09:07:41 08/23/11) Can I get your first name so when I call I know who to ask for.

Thanks

Just say, "Hello, this is ______ calling for Hank's phone number. I got your contact info from my post on YT."
