I had all my fluids changed on my Super c and after running/driving it for about 2 hours I notice that it had leaks coming from the front and rear seal of the tranny. I was wondering if adding a thinner weight of oil could be the problem. I never had the problem before the fluids were changed. Any thoughts and help would be greatly apperication.

Well, this is just a guess, but we don't know enough detail. Anyway, on older engines that have "time" on them, sludge builds up around seals. When new detergent type oil is used, this sludge starts to get cleaned up. Leaks start as the sludge was "assisting" the seals.

BTW, you say around the transmission. You mean the torque tube, correct? also, did you change the gear lube in the tranny or just the engine oil?

Yes I had new engine oil and new gear lube in the tranny replaced. That is correct where the oil/lube is leaking. I never had the problem before and had heard that i would have to seperate the tractor to replace the seals

Well, if you are leaking around the tranny, it is quite possible that prior to changing the lube, it did not have enough gear lube in it to leak. How bad is the leak? Is it engine oil or gear lube?
