New One to me (Funk Farmall??)........

The frame has been stretched, and an old flathead ford V8 has been crossbred into it. The best thing about this unit is the steel dual wheels!
I do not deny that it would be a cool old rig after it has been worked on and got it to going!
Definitely someone had put some thought into it to get it this far, just wonder if it was ever a working tractor or if it was just a project that was stopped in mid-work and was never finished?
I tend to think that if it did run it may have been scarey with those steel wheels. If they hung solid in a field, the front end may sure enough come off the ground!
I have seen numerous F series tractors with chevy 6 cylinders in them. So someone had this old V8 so it got put in instead of a 6 cylinder. Hope this helps.

That is an interesting one. Could be cleaned up and taken to shows for the coolness of it. What is the redline of a normal, stock, Ford flathead? What was the governed RPM to a F-14 engine? I'm guessing about 3:1, that would make for heck of a road gear, for a F-14 on steel.

Home conversion. Saw a few of them in the early 70's at local fair pulls. Popular thing back then. Lots of old flat heads around that could be had for cheap and lots of old Fs around that could be had for cheap. Win win situation.

(quoted from post at 20:42:13 08/19/11) Saw this on Ebay...

What is this thing? Was it original or some cobbled up mess? I've never heard of one. Haha, especially a Ford Funk "Conversation" Farmall
Farmall Funk Conversion

Looks like a cobbled up mess to me. A V8 could have been fitted without stretching the frame out quite that far, I've seen several F20s with V8s and auto trannies that were not stretched at all.

The most valuable part of that F12 is the steel wheels.
