saw an SMD TA

Saw an M for sale the other day and didn't think much of it cause I already have 2 of them. Then a couple days later drove by and noticed it is a super M TA, looks pretty good. Either fairly well kept original or older restore. Well, today I was driving by on a test drive and looked a little closer and could see it is an SMDTA. Didn't have the time to stop and look at it but if anyone is interested I could stop and get a phone number. I don't know whose it is and can't buy it myself, but if anyone wants one it is located in Bismarck ND.

I'll try to get the number tomorrow. I live 40 miles away from the tractor but work nearby. My e-mail has been a bit flakey but will get it to you one way or another.

I'd be curious to see what they wanted. Bismark is a bit of a drive, but I do have a gas start diesel fixation.

I ran across a SMTA this last weekend that I wasn't familiar with myself, however it wasn't a diesel. A gentleman had called me and wanted to know if I could help hang tobacco for him. Once I jumped in the tobacco shed this is what I saw:

</a>

The old girl ran like a top too. Not to mention the tin was in good shape overall.

Stopped and looked at it a little today, decent original as far as I could tell, but then I wouldn't call myself an expert and don't know all the things to look for. Rear tires are junk 14.9s , fronts are near new 5.50-16. battery box is bad, been welded and fixed up. Wide front with steering from the rear. All that I can see on the tag is D then below that is 71711 S. Phone no. is (701) 316-0048. I didn't have alot of time to look at it so that's about all I can tell you.

You better hope I don't find that one for sale Billy. Power steering and WAY nicer looking than mine. Mine was a picker tractor so that doesn't help. Get those tractors out of that damp, cruddy tobacco shed!!!

I sampled up in the Deerfield area yesterday and I saw a couple guys harvesting tobacco.

Poor suckers huh...having to harvest tobacco. I don't mind helping out with it since it's only a couple of days out of the year.

Well if you were in Deerfield you weren't far at all from that Super MTA. H*ll...you may have driven right by it. It resides halfway between two taverns...Nora's and Utica.

I wasn't over that way yesterday, but I know right where you are talking. I went over Cambridge way on Hwy C. I have done quite a bit over Utica/Nora way. I better not mention names on the world wide internet.

We'll keep the names to ourselves...though I am pretty sure you could put a face with this name as it has been farming in the area for a few generations.

I took a stroll down Hwy C lastnight as a matter of fact. I had to run over to Lake Mills and took the scenic route back.

Gotta, Hwy B or BB (whatever that road is by the trap club) into Lake Mills is closed at the county line all the way to town.
