IH 620 Drill

Im looking at buying an Ih 620 Drill. Any clue on what they weigh? Im thinking of just taking my deckover trailer and just haveing them load it sideways on it and hauling it home that way or have any better ideas? Its about 2 hours from home. thanks Zach

If your trailer is tandem axle you'll probably be ok. I bought a new 22x7" 620 in 1978 & hauled it on a donahue trailer when moving between farms.

The guy im buying off of said he has a for 555 backhoe that should lift it up on wouldnt? Did you just run chains around the bin to lift it up?

I hauled mine on a Donahue trailer. If you're not familiar with that type of trailer, the axle/wheel assembly slides on a rail & the deck pulls forwards & drops to the ground allowing you to drive across it. When loaded you just backed the deck, with implement, onto the wheel assembly so there's no lifting of the implement involved.

If you're planning on lifting the 620 you're going to have to locked up each of the press wheel gangs as they are independent of each other. On my 24 disc 620 there was either 3 or 4 wheel gangs. You;re going to have a hard time lifting it IMO without tearing up something as there really isn't a good place to lift from
